Martha 'Jean' Williamson Kiser

Martha ‘Jean’ Williamson Kiser, age 88, of Lincolnton, died on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at home.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, for family and close friends at Hollybrook Cemetery with Rev. Michael Collins officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Kiser of Lincolnton; parents, Gertie Lee and Eugene Williamson; brother, James Wilbur Williamson, Sr.; and nephew, James W. Wiliamson, Jr., all of New Bern, NC.
Survivors include one daughter, Jayne Avery, husband Doug, of Lincolnton; one brother, Daniel P. Williamson of Portsmouth, VA; three nieces, Kay Moore, husband Larry, of Ayden, NC, Linda Williamson and Andy Lipscomb of Chester, VA, and Jean Williamson of Chesapeake, VA.
Jean was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church for 62 years, enjoyed attending the quilting group every Tuesday, was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and counted cross stitch. She worked as secretary for her husband at David Kiser Accounting until his retirement.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, ‘Special Projects’, 216 S. Aspen Street, Lincolnton ,NC 28092; the Humane Society of Lincoln County, PO Box 23, Lincolnton, NC 28093, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
