Jerry William Fortenberry

Jerry William Fortenberry, age 77, of Saw Mill Trail, Lincolnton, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Harvey Gates officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the graveside service at Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. Fortenberry was born on November 5, 1943 and was the son of the late Charlie Durham Fortenberry and Margie Hager Fortenberry. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Fortenberry and Dean Fortenberry and one sister, Sue Perkins. He was retired from the construction business.
Mr. Fortenberry is survived by one son, Bill Fortenberry and wife, Kim of Lincolnton; one daughter, Pam Smith and husband, Steve of Lincolnton; one brother, Walt Fortenberry of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, Kylie and fiancé, Jeffrey, Adam , Lacey, Kelsey Fowler and husband, Eian, Ethan and fiancé, Kayla; one great-grandson, McCoy Fowler and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Fresenius Kidney Care Lincolnton, 1090 S. Grove Street Ext., Lincolnton, NC 28092.
