Renfred "Kip" McDaniel
( October 24, 1962 - August 29, 2021 )
On August 29, 2021 our beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and Pawpaw, Kip McDaniel answered the call of our Lord “Come home, good and faithful servant.”
Kip was born on October 24, 1962 in Charlotte, NC, the son of Jimmie L and Nancy Huffstetler McDaniel of Mount Holly, NC. Kip’s passions in life were serving the Lord, caring for family, and being a positive influence in the lives of young people. Kip was an Eagle Scout and he served for a number of years as Scoutmaster of Troop 421 of Archer Lodge, NC. He was a member of The Church at Clayton Crossings where he served on the visual tech team. Kip was an accomplished graphic artist, photographer and videographer, using his talents for more than 30 years.
In addition to his parents, Kip is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Wendy Ward McDaniel of Clayton, NC; daughter, Kaylee McDaniel Brown and husband Ethan of Dallas, TX; two sons, Ryan and Dawson McDaniel of Clayton, NC; granddaughter, Everlee Lou Brown of Dallas, TX; sister, Melissa McDaniel Watts and husband Darryl of Gastonia, NC; mother in law, Saundra Ward and the late Dean Ward of Lincolnton, NC; brother in laws, Jeff and wife Mollie, Loren Ward and wife Brandy of Lincolnton, NC; three nieces, Samantha Watts Helmick and husband Wess of Lowell, NC, Rebecca Watts of Gastonia, NC, Macy Ward of Lincolnton, NC; nephew, Kamden Ward of Lincolnton, NC; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 at The Church at Clayton Crossings in Clayton, NC from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sat., Sept. 4, at First Baptist Church in Lincolnton, NC with visitation at 1:00 p.m. with the service following at 2:00 p.m. Interment following at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Boy Scout Troop 421, 110 Norwood Drive, Clayton, NC, 27527.
