Tommy Richard Ray

Tommy Richard Ray, Sr., age 77, of Salem Church Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, September 10, 2021.
A graveside service will be held 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Greg Hager officiating. The body will lie in state from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, and Monday, September 13, 2021, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Tommy was born October 24,1943, in Lincoln County, to the late Pledger and Erlene Baker Ray. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and later worked as a mechanic in heating and air.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Proctor Ray of the home; son, Tommy Richard Ray, Jr. (Michelle) of Lincolnton; daughter, Melody Collier of the home; four grandchildren, Colin Ray, Justin Ray, Samuel Collier, and Chelsea Collier; three great-grandchildren; and stepson, Ronald Barger (Misty) of Florida.
