Peggy Jean Deaton Williams

Peggy Jean Deaton Williams, age 75, of Lincolnton, went home with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 10, 2021.
Her funeral service will be held 1:00 on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bud Painter officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 12:45 pm prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Peggy was born April 28, 1946, in Lincoln County, to the late Harley and Helen Camp Deaton. Peggy was owner of Peggy’s Beauty Shop and Tanning Salon for 28 years. Peggy loved traveling, camping and antique hunting with her husband Nelson. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was the sweetest, most loving and generous person and will be greatly missed.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 59 years, Nelson F. Williams of the home; three daughters, Janet Ray and husband J.C. of High Shoals, Lesia Hudish and husband James of Rock Hill, SC and Jennifer “Jenny” Smith and husband Tommy of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Shannon Williams and husband Samuel of Lincolnton, Johnathan Williams of Rock Hill, SC, Sadye Bryson and husband Trent of Mt. Holly, Lynden Berry of Lincolnton; five great-grandchildren, CaliMae Williams of Rock Hill, SC, Harper Williams of Lincolnton, Mikayla Williams of Lincolnton, Lillian Bryson of Mt. Holly and Julia Bryson of Mt. Holly; two sisters, Brenda Fox and husband Butch of Newton, Joyce Smith and husband Darrell of Lincolnton, one brother Tommy Deaton and wife Teresa of Lincolnton and numerous nieces and nephews.
