Daphyne Mitchem Cheshire Armstrong

Daphyne Mitchem Cheshire Armstrong, age 78, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton, and formerly of the Gastonia Highway, died on Monday, September 13, 2021.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, in the Warlick funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ingle officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Armstrong was born October 6, 1942, in Lincoln County, to the late Bryant and Leoah Moore Mitchem. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Armstrong, Jr., and infant daughter, Darlean Cheshire. She worked for Dallas Pillow Company. She enjoyed cooking for her family and road trips making memories with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Cheshire (Sherry) of Lincolnton, and Rev. Don Martin (Midige) of Hiddenite; daughter, Debbie Reel (Jerry) of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Dana Morris, Steve Martin, Krissy Patterson, and Shane Reel; ten great-grandchildren, Haley, Samantha, Jack, Benjamin, Abigail, Aaron, Alexis, Anistyn, Avery, and Ashlyn; two great-great-grandchildren, Riley and Kiley; and several cousins who were like siblings.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
