Walter Marion Friday, III, age 74, of Knottywood Lane in Vale, died on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Whitener officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Friday was born March 3, 1947, in Gaston County, to the late Walter Marion Friday, Jr. and Ella Faye West Friday. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Patricia F. Crisp and Johnny Friday. He served in the United States Air Force. Walter would later work as a financial manager in automobile sales.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Taylor Friday of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Williams (Darin) of Vale, and Ashley Friday Lail (Mike) of Lincolnton; son, Brett Friday of Texas; brother, Britt Friday of Dallas; and six grandchildren, Katelynne Haynie, Michael Moore, Chloe Roseberry, Tristan Roseberry, Emma Lail, Madeline Lail, and Brick Friday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
