Obituaries

Derrick Carl High, age 44, of 5013 St. Charles Drive in Dallas, died on Monday, September 20, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Vision Church of Gastonia with Matt Vanderbilt officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday at the church.

Derrick was born September 19, 1977, in Lincoln County, to Norman High and the late Sharon Fore High.  He worked as a stocker for Wal-Mart. 

He is survived by his wife, Angela Boatright High of the home; father, Norman High of High Shoals; sister, Piper High of Newton; and brother, Curtis High of Oak Island.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vision Church of Gastonia, 2024 Redbud Drive, Gastonia, NC  28056 (Watoto Church Children’s Ministry).
