Gerald “Jerry” Oscar Schweitz, age 67, of Goodson Road in Maiden, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
“Jerry” was born April 29, 1954 in Waterloo, New York, to Carole Bingham Schweitz and the late Oscar Schweitz. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Schweitz. Jerry worked as a construction manager for Sealand Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Van Cour Schweitz of the home; daughter, Jackie Mull (Noah) of Iron Station; son, Eric Schweitz of Newton; brothers, Tom Schweitz of Clayton, NC, and John Schweitz of Florence, SC; sisters, Kathy O’Connell of Waterloo, NY, and Cindy Chance of Raeford, NC; grandchildren, Reagan Mull and Wyatt Mull; and his mother, Carole Schweitz of Raeford, NC.
The family will hold a private service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
