Riley "Steve" Stevens Allison

Riley Stevens ‘Steve’ Allison, age 72, of Hickory Springs Lane in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Westport Baptist Church, Denver, NC, with Pastor Steve Owenby officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 6:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
‘Steve’ was born May 3, 1949, in McDowell County, to the late Claude Benjamin Allison and Zonia Daves Allison. He worked as a welder for Duke Power and later Gaston Systems. After retirement, he drove a bus for Lincoln Charter and Mountain Island Charter schools. Steve was a member of Pearl Baptist Church for over thirty years and more recently a member of Westport Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Silvia Hoyle Allison of the home; sons, Jason Riley Allison (Hope McLaughlin) of Boone, NC, and Joshua Benjamin Allison (Jennifer Mulkey) of Lincolnton; daughter, Summer Leah Allison of Lincolnton; brothers and sisters, Patricia A. Arrowood (Ray) of Nebo, Michael Allison (Brenda) of Nebo, NC, Judy A. Ezell (Delburn) of Duncan, SC, Becky A. Wilkerson (Jerry) of Six Mile, SC, and Thomas Allison (Sharon) of Cyril, OK; and four grandchildren, Riley Allison, Ryder Allison, Cooper Allison, and Cohen Allison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Ministry of Lincoln County, PO Box 423, Lincolnton, NC 28093-0423, or “He Is Worthy” c/o Westport Baptist Church, 2372 Lake Shore Road, South, Denver, NC 28037.
