L.C. Smith, Sr.

Mr. L.C. Smith, Sr., age 72, of Springdale Park Drive in Lincolnton, entered his Eternal Home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021, in the cemetery of Commandment Keepers Church of the Living God, 327 Carlyle Road in Troutman. His body will lie in state from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Warlick Funeral Home.
L.C. was born July 1, 1949, in Cleveland County, to Christine Smith Lattimore and the late Sidney Lee Lattimore. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Herndon Smith; three sisters, Linda Adams, Mary Gidney, and Joyce Ann Cauthen; and a brother, Everette Lee Lattimore. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, he worked as a custodian for Lincoln County Schools.
He is survived by his children, Angelo Smith (Renee), Marcus Smith (Edith), and L.C. Smith, Jr. (Stacey), Pamela Smith Boston (Larry), Janice Huff and Chris Caldwell, all of Lincolnton; brother, Frank Cauthen, Jr., (Melissa) of Statesville; two sisters, Georgia Ann Daniels of Statesville, and Diane Pitts (William) of Greenville, SC; sixteen grandchildren, L.C. Smith, III “Tre”, Ayana Smith, Whitney Suddreth, Yulson Suddreth, Loshon Metts, Angelo “LA” Smith, II, Isabella Smith, Brinna Smith, Marcus Smith, II, Destiny Smith, Isaiah Smith, Jasmine Caldwell, Christal Caldwell, Brandon Hunter, J.P. Hunter, Sierra Huff, and Angelica Wilson; and numerous great-grandchildren.
