Charles Alexander Stowe

Charles Alexander Stowe, age 93, of Highway 73 in Iron Station, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harley Scalf officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 am prior to the service at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Stowe was born August 21, 1928 in Lincoln County to the late James Samuel Stowe, Sr. and Fannie Bright Varner Stowe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Sherrill Stowe, and siblings, James Samuel Stowe, Jr., Pearl Schrum, Edith Hester and Alene Keever. Mr. Stowe was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Gossett Machine Works in Gastonia where he worked as a machinist.
He is survived by his sister, Helen Leonhardt of Kings Mountain and numerous nieces and nephews.
