Harvey Reese Young, Sr.

Harvey Reese Young, Sr., age 82, of The Addision of Lincolnton, and formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, died on Monday, December 20, 2021.
His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday in Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, SC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Masks are required to be worn during services at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Young was born November 10, 1939, in Greenwood County, SC, to the late Oliver Reese Young and Emma Pearl Robinson Young. He served in the United States Navy. He then served 25 years in the Navy Reserve while enjoying a long career with Sears, where he retired, as service manager.
He is survived by his wife, Etta Fink Young of Lincolnton; children, Harvey Reese Young, Jr. of Denver, Debbie Young James (Bryant) of Lincolnton, Eddie James (Patti) of York, SC, Bryant James (Debbie) of Lincolnton, Sandi Erin Ford (Bryan) of Schertz, TX; sister, Lilly Frances Anderson of Laingsburg, MI; grandchildren, Emma Young James (Brendan), Olivia Young, Haley Horton, Raina Ford, and Reese Ford; and great-grandson, Luca James.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
