Obituaries

Susan Lorene Willis, age 51, of Beagles Run Drive in Lincolnton passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021.  She was born February 18, 1970, in Burke County, North Carolina, a daughter of Charles Ray Cook and Shirley Smith Cook.

Ms. Willis is survived by her son Justin Pace, his fiancé Elizabeth, and Elizabeth’s children, Sydnie and Jaxon Bradfield, all of Iron Station; and a brother, Michael Cook, and his wife, Angela, of Lincolnton.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Willis was preceded in death by her brothers Bobby Gene Cook and Billy Ray Cook.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Randall and Pastor Daniel Woody officiating.  Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
