Harry Henry Murphy

Harry Henry Murphy, age 82, of Mariposa Road in Stanley, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2022, in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Tillman and Rev. Kenneth Gibson officiating. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Murphy was born October 8, 1939, in Gaston County, to the late Lawrence Murphy and Bertha Robinson Murphy. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Murphy; and siblings, Jim Murphy, Bud Murphy, Andrew Murphy, Wayne Murphy, Mary Griffie, and Tommy Murphy. He worked in sales.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda McClure Murphy of the home; two brothers, Ted Murphy of California, and Luther Murphy of Stanley; and one sister, Judy Outlaw of Denver.
Mr. Murphy was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for 59 years, where he served as a deacon and treasurer for 42 years.
