James Mitchell Adams

James Mitchell Adams, age 82, of Vale, died on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
His funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Key officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Lutheran Church cemetery.
Mr. Adams was born January 28, 1939, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Curtis and Mildred Grant Adams. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gantt Adams; son, Tony Adams; son-in-law, Rick Warlick; and great-granddaughter, MaKenna Warlick. Jim was a retired truck driver from Carolina Freight, later ABF.
He is survived by sons, Tim Adams (Toni), and Jimmy Black (Sharon); daughters, Felicia Warlick (caregiver), Judy Godfrey (Wayne), and Sheila Garrison; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, 261 Cedar Grove Church Road, Vale, NC 28168, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
