Dixie Lynn Hoyle Devine

Dixie Lynn Hoyle Devine, age 78, of Dusty Lane in Iron Station, died on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Alexis Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Jenkins and Rev. Zach Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Devine was born April 27, 1943, in Gaston County, to the late Boyce A. Hoyle and Lucille Waldrop Hoyle. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Franklin Devine. She worked as a teacher’s assistant for Lincoln County Schools.
She is survived by a son, Anthony Mark Devine (Teresa) of Alexis; daughter, Monica Renae Devine of Iron Station; three grandchildren, Cortney Cheshire, Michael Dayton, and Allie Devine; two great-grandchildren, Haley Cheshire and Caden Devine; two brothers, Boyce Hoyle, Jr., of Denver, and Harold Hoyle of Dallas; and a sister, Janice Parris of Dallas.
Memorials may be made to Alexis Baptist Church, Library Fund, or the Card Team, PO Box 39, Alexis, NC 28006.
