Donald Chapman

Donald Chapman, age 85, of Southside Church Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Marcus Redding and Associate Pastor Shea Houser officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Donald was born May 27, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late Walter and Timmie Scronce Chapman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Summey Chapman and Mickie; and brother-in-law, Robert Hall. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Salem Baptist Church where he was a former deacon and trustee. He retired from Vermont American.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Sigmon Chapman of the home; sons, Mark Chapman of Bessemer City, and Michael Chapman (Amy) of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Tim Chapman (Delisa), and Michelle Tidd (Eric); eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Barbara Hall.
