Max Eugene Bridges

Max Eugene Bridges, age 77, of John Chapman Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Hulls Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Travis Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the church. The family will not be present during this time.
Mr. Bridges was born March 24, 1944, in Lincoln County, to the late John Henry Bridges and Ida Prue Ledford Bridges. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Alfred Bridges. He worked as an assembler for Freightliner.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Brotherton Bridges of the home; son, Chad Bridges of Lincolnton; brothers, Bill Bridges (Joan) and Jerry Bridges (Joyce), of Lincolnton, and Ronnie Bridges of Denver; granddaughter, Dallas Johnson (Dwayne) of Lincolnton; great-grandson, Waylon Johnson; sister-in-law, Judy Brotherton of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Hulls Grove Baptist Church, 6670 W. Highway 27, Vale, NC 28168, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
