Alice Scronce Duckworth

Mrs. Alice Scronce Duckworth, age 84, of Cansler Road in Vale, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Sherrill officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Alice was born July 5, 1937 in Catawba County to the late George Andrew and Floy Rudisill Scronce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Thomas Duckworth; a daughter, Betty Duckworth; two grandchildren, Brandi Shoup and Lacey Parker; two brothers, Lee Scronce and T.C. Scronce; five sisters, Violet Shook, Virgie Pendelton, Irene Lowdermilk, Ruby Wood and Martha Lingerfelt. Alice retired from Marlowe Furniture.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Shoup and husband Gerald of Lawndale, Donna Workman of Vale, Sheila Rice and husband Michael of Vale, Patty Herman and Mike Troutman of Vale and Tammy Parker and husband Reid of Vale; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
