Jimmie Lee Sigmon

Jimmie Lee Sigmon, age 88, of Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Boger City United Methodist Church with Rev. Ronnie Roseboro officiating. Burial will follow in the Maiden City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Sigmon was born November 9, 1933, in Gaston County, to the late Rufus Eugene Sigmon and Vida Mauney Sigmon. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Deanne Cooke Sigmon; daughter, Suzanne Sigmon; three sisters; and five brothers. He retired from the United States Army after 21 years of service. After returning from the military, he attended Western Carolina University where he earned his BA degree. Following graduation, he taught at Gaston College.
He is survived by a son, Patrick Sigmon (Nina) of Crouse; daughters, Tammy Sigmon Holliday (Steve) of Westminster, SC, and Jane Reeside of Concord; brothers, Tim Sigmon (Becky) of Cherryville and Martel Sigmon of Cherryville; sister, Patricia Sigmon Schubert (Larry) of Charlotte; grandchildren, Joshua Holliday (Sally), Jacob Holliday (Tara), Shannon Sigmon Williams (Chad), Lindsey Sigmon Pruett (Mark), Will Reeside (Anna), Drew Reeside (Loren), Alex Reeside, Chelsea Brooks (Matthew), Alyssa Bumgardner and Britni Bumgardner; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
