Bobby Eugene Mabrey

Bobby Eugene Mabrey, age 85 of Stanley, died on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Mike Davis officiating. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday for those wishing to sign the guest register. The family will receive friends at the home from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Mr. Mabrey was born August 4, 1936, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Toye Mabrey and Nellie Hamrick Mabrey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Cherry Mabrey; sisters, Peggy Dyson, Ruby Robinson, and Evelyn Hollifield; and brothers, Carl, James, Charles, and John Mabrey. Bobby served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by a daughter, Cyndi Mabrey Whitson of Lake Wylie, SC; son, Christopher Mabrey and Amy Marie Wingate of Stanley; sisters, Doris Dellinger and Kay Blanton; brother, Olen Mabrey; and two grandchildren, Katelyn Whitson and Kristen Whitson.
