Fred Reynolds

Fred Reynolds, 86, of Denver, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Denver United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Autrey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
Fred was born October 6, 1935, in Lincoln County, to the late Gus and Mary Lee Reynolds of Cherryville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by siblings, Richard Reynolds of Norfolk, VA, Archie Reynolds of Conover, Grace Bell of Glen Burnie, MD, Bill Reynolds of Cocoa Beach, FL, and his twin brother, Ned Reynolds of Pumpkin Center.
Fred was an active member of Denver United Methodist Church serving on the Board of Trustees. He was also a member of the United Methodist Men and sang in the choir. He loved flying his airplane, captaining his boat on Lake Norman, attending Rock Springs Camp Meeting, and watching baseball. During his working years, he was a shift supervisor with Hickory Springs, Claremont, and GS Fibers and Southern Friction Materials. After he retired, he worked at the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Airport. He loved his family and taking vacations with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda; and his children, Debbie (Allen) Bandy of Newton, David (Bridget) Reynolds of Phoenix, AZ, and Duane Reynolds and Kathy Walston of Atlanta, GA. Also, his grandchildren, Emily Reynolds of Costa Mesa, CA, Mikey Reynolds of Phoenix, AZ, Ashley Bandy of Conover, Amy Bandy of Raleigh, and Garrett Reynolds of Atlanta, GA; and seven nieces and nephews.
