Dorothy Evelyn Waters Howard

Dorothy Evelyn Waters Howard, age 81, of John Chapman Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at David Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Howard was born May 16, 1940, in Lincoln County, to the late Finer Hoyle. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobby Ray McSwain; her second husband, Kenneth Howard; and a sister, Margaret Barker. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim Kiser (Butch) and Stacie Payne, all of Lincolnton; son, Robin Howard (Lisa) of Lincolnton; sisters, Lucile McSwain and Betty Goins (Ronnie), all of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Brandon Hensley, Candace Estes, Aynsley Howard, Heath Cole, Brittney Donahue, and Nickolas Payne; and six great-grandchildren, Hunter Hensley, Luke Hensley, Nolan Estes, Jared Estes, Grady Phillips, Wilder Phillips, and Kennedy Cole.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
