Wilma Bethany Painter Howard

Wilma Bethany Painter Howard, age 90, of Lincolnton, died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, April 29, 2022.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. The body will lie in state from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Howard was born October 8, 1931, in Lincoln County, to the late Edward Fifer Painter and Mary Texasanna Cash Painter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Howard; four sisters and two brothers. She was a homemaker and a longtime cafeteria worker for Lincoln County Schools.
She is survived by sons, Mike Howard of Mooresville, Nelson Howard (Mary Anne) of Hickory, and Marshall Howard (Vanda) of Denver; daughters, Darlene Gibson (Kenny) of Lincolnton, and Tresa Norton (Ron) of Denver; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Wolgemuth (Wade) of Lincolnton, Clay Howard (Colleen) of Mooresville, Jeff Howard of Franklin, Bethany Howard of Mooresville, Jared Gibson (Jennifer) of Lincolnton, Lauren Howard of Lincolnton, and Robert Howard (Ashley) of Moore, SC; and great-grandchildren, Alexis and Zack Wolgemuth, Sawyer and Lydia Gibson, Carter and Carson Howard, and Riley, Jaxon and Logan Howard, and many nieces and nephews.
