John Kendall Swart

John Kendall Swart, age 83, of Ralph B. Keener Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, May 22, 2022.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2022, in the Emmanuel Lutheran Chapel with Rev. Michael Collins officiating.
Mr. Swart was born February 12, 1939, in Mt. Kisco, New York, to the late John Henry Swart and Mary Rebecca Poole Swart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Swart. He served in the United States Navy, and would later work as a telephone lineman.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Schultz Swart of the home; son, Michael Swart of the home; two daughters, Deborah Viscariello (Vincenzo) of Torrington, CT, and Diana Stadler of Duesseldorf, Germany; five grandchildren, Lilly Stadler, Theo Stadler, Lucy Stadler, Kerri Barrett, and Emily Pitcher; and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Cameron Barrett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4600 Park Road, Suite 250, Charlotte, NC 28209, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Donation Processing, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5104, or to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 216 S. Aspen Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
