Betty Ruth Parker
( June 26, 1948 - June 3, 2022 )
Betty Ruth Parker, at the age of 73, transitioned peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 3, 2022, at CaroMont Health in Gastonia. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was born June 26, 1948 in Gaston County. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Ruby Martin Parker. Betty was preceded in death by her siblings, Floyd Parker, Dorothy Sue Edwards, Jackie Parker, Johnny Parker, Linda Sigmon, Judy Arthur, and Randy Parker. Betty worked in the Photo Lab at Winn Dixie, and in the Bakery at Bi-lo.
Betty had a bright and energetic personality. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at River View Baptist Church in Lincolnton. The family will speak with friends following the service.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Marty Parker and his wife Sheila of Lincolnton; sisters, Joanne P. Finger, Nancy P. Hester, and Patsy P. Reep all of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
