Iris Renee Stafford Young

Iris Rene Stafford Young, age 74, of Cardinal Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lincolnton passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at George Poston Park, 1101 Lowell-Spencer Mountain Road, Gastonia, NC. The family will visit with friends following the service.
Mrs. Young was born on July 27, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Willard and Irene Ballard Stafford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Young, her brother, Johnny Stafford ; sisters Brenda Moore and Linda Stafford. Mrs. Young was retired from R.L. Stowe Mills.
She is survived by four children, Thomas Hicks of Mt. Holly, Kenny Stewart (Denise) of Rockingham, Rhonda Collins (Alvin) of Bryson City and Frankie Hicks (Angela Faulks) of Bessemer City; two sisters, Alice Stafford and Lily Daniels; ten grandchildren, Justin Haynes (McKenzie), Chasity Van Meter, Amber Van Meter, Kenny Hicks, Marcus Hicks, David McEntire(Genova), Tomi Hicks, Hannah Cook, Breanna Diggers (Ben), David Bolick, and Kohle Bello (Shelby); and eighteen great-grandchildren.
