Robert William Lawrence

Robert William Lawrence, age 72, of E. Pine Street in Lincolnton, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Chris Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Mr. Lawrence was born June 3, 1950, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Maford and Cora Chaney Lawrence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Metcalf Lawrence, and a sister, Annette Simmonds. Robert served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and would later work as a lineman and retired as an applications analyst from Duke Energy.
He is survived by three daughters, Leslie L. Beam (Todd) of Denver, Beth L. Perkins (Craig) of Lincolnton, and Robin L. Hart (Joe) of Denver; brother, Charles Lawrence of Cornelius; sisters, Carolyn Blake (Don), Norma Dean Johns (David), all of Gastonia, and Elizabeth Lee (Allen) of Bessemer City; and five grandsons, Trae York, Cason Perkins, Caleb Beam, Chase Perkins, and Jensen Hart.
