Greta June Ashley Smith

Greta June Ashley Smith, age 89, formerly of Cedar Top Lane in Columbia, SC passed away on Sunday July 10, 2022 at The Addison in Lincolnton.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mike Devin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Oakbrook Memorial Park in North Greenwood, SC.
Mrs. Smith was born on February 17, 1933 in Greenwood County, SC to the late Otto and Mildred Bagwell Ashely. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis “Carey” Smith; one sister, Bobbie Jean Ashley; and a step-grandson, Neil Pellum. She was a retired registered nurse.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Caren Smith and husband Thomas Pellum of Lincolnton; one step-grandaughter, Tracy Pellum Hodges and husband Tim of Commerce, GA; one niece, Patrica Smith O’Neal of Columbia, SC; two step-great grandchildren, Hayden and Haylee Hodges.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658.
