Kenneth Flint Schrum

Kenneth Flint Schrum, age 86 of Lincolnton, died on Thursday, July 21, 2022.
His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at McKendree United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Schrum was born June 16, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late Edison Lee and Hettie Wilkinson Schrum. He was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Schrum; three brothers; and three sisters. Mr. Schrum was a retired sewing machine mechanic and maintenance worker. He worked for Gibbs Underwear Company for 24 years and La-Z-Boy for 15 years.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jane Reinhardt Schrum; two sons, Alan Schrum (Carla) of Stanley, and Michael Schrum of Maiden; three grandsons, Kevin Schrum (Jessika) of Lincolnton, Jared Schrum of Maiden, and Jesse Schrum of Charlotte; numerous nieces and nephews; Goddaughter, Melissa Laws Reno (Matt) of Iron Station; Godson, David Page Laws (Linda) of Belmont; and best friends, Dianne Laws of Iron Station, and Joe and Ruth Hahn of Newton.
