Rodney Steve Forner, age 67, of Jostle Lane, Vale, NC passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
Mr. Forner was born on November 18, 1954 in Cramerton, NC and was the son of the late Colleen Ensley Mills and Ray Garland Forner of Cramerton.
Mr. Forner is survived by his wife of 34 years, Connie Davis Forner; his son and pride and joy, Corey Austin Forner (Kaitlyn Huff); brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Donna Forner; niece, Amanda Timbes, her husband Keith, and their two sons, great nephews, Jake and Evan Timbes; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, O.H. and Cindy Eaton of Florida. Also included are special children he loved, Kaitlyn Huff, Lucas Graff, Marco Hernandez, William Scruggs, Wesley Ford, Tubbs Tubberville, David Connell, Todd Palmer, Higgy Higginbotham, Skylar Wilson, Vera White, and Philip Gilbert.
Steve Forner had a passion for many things, foremost, being a great father to son Corey, fishing, Harleys, hot rods, and making people laugh.
Saturday, August 6, 2022, the family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home, and service will begin immediately after at 2:00 p.m. in their chapel with Brother Todd Palmer officiating. A procession of family and friends to the Forner home in West Lincoln will begin immediately following the service, where there will be a celebration of Steve’s life with BBQ, fishing, fun and fellowship. Bring your chairs and your stories about Steve. For both the service at Warlick’s and the celebration to follow, Steve requested everyone where casual attire.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Forner Family GoFundMe account, or Warlick Funeral Home, Rodney S. Forner Funeral Fund, 125 Dave Warlick Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
