Loren Lipford Smith

Loren Lipford Smith, Lorie, aged 66 of Iron Station, NC passed away peacefully on August 15, 2022
Lorie was born on July 16, 1956 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Basil Lipford and Charlotte Lipford. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her two brothers Mike Lipford and Randy Lipford.
Lorie worked at IBM for 20 years until she started her own trucking business “Little L’s Dump Truck Service. Which turned into a very successful woman owned business.
Lorie was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandkids.
Lorie is survived by her High School Sweetheart and Husband of 49 years James Alan Smith, her son James Smith (Mary) and her daughter Jennifer Martin (Eddie) as well as two sisters Sherry Pope and Mitsi Studebaker (Dwight) and one brother Steve Lipford (Priya Sahota). She is also survived by five grandchildren Kayla Rankin, Phoebe Smith, Darren Martin (Kaelyn Edwards), Ethan Martin and Trent Smith as well as one great grandchild Myriahlynn Cohens. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Celebration of life for Lorie will be Saturday August 20, 2022 at Faith Baptist Church 5194 Old Plank Road Iron Station, NC 28080. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 5pm with the memorial service following at 5pm.
Flowers can be sent on Saturday afternoon to Faith Baptist Church or a donation of your choice can be made in Loren’s name.
