Dennis Lee Hollis, age 78, of Belmont, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.
Dennis was born December 4, 1943, in Gaston County, to the late John William Hollis and Dorothy Evelyn Petty Hollis. Mr. Hollis served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and later worked at Freightliner for 20+ years.
He is survived by his children, Jason Hollis (Abby) of Lincolnton, Carol Stillwell (Doug) of Andrews, NC, Rebecca Slayton (Matt) of Lincolnton; wife, Rhonda Hollis of Iron Station; grandchildren, John and Daniel Hollis, Caleb and Sawyer Stillwell, Luke, Rhett, and Sullivan Slayton; sister, Jewel Nixon of Mt. Holly; and brothers, David Hollis of Lincolnton, and Terry Hollis of Dallas, NC.
Memorials may be made to the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation, 717 S. Marshall Street, Suite 105-B, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
