Henry Pinkney Cox

Henry Pinkney Cox, age 74 of Maiden, was called to his Eternal home on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Maiden Wesleyan Church, 1111 Ivey Church Road in Maiden. Rev. Tim Smith will officiate.
He was born July 3, 1948, in Tabor City, NC, to Aubrey Cox and Birdie Long Cox who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, DeWitt Cox, and his sisters, Marlene Hinson and Loreta Stanley. Henry was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and horses. He co-owned and managed Spotted Creek Stables in Maiden for over 30 years. Henry loved his family and his many friends and was always the comedian and practical joker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Nancy Hovis Cox; their two daughters, Dawn Cox Reynolds, and husband Rusty Reynolds, of Lincolnton, and Mandy Cox Sipe, and husband Ryan Sipe, of Maiden; his grandsons, who were his pride and joy, Travis Reynolds and Mason Sipe; and his brother, David E. Cox, and wife Judy, of Maiden.
