Judith Muriel Friday, 84, went home to be with her Lord on September 28, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Riverview Baptist Church with Pastor Barry Brookshire officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Friday at the church.
Judith was born May 9, 1938, in Gaston County, to her beloved father and mother, Rev. Ernest W. Friday and Nancy “Grace” Huggins Friday. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Helen Blackburn and Frances Rhyne; brother, Barry Friday; and nephew, Tim Rhyne. She had a long career with Nationwide Insurance. Judith’s passion was playing the piano, which she did from an early age at many churches, including Riverview Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Church, and Cornerstone.
She is survived by nephew, J. Mike Rhyne (Dana), niece, Donna Blackburn; nephew, Craig Friday (Lauren); brother-in-law, Joseph F. Rhyne; and sister-in-law, Sharon Friday.
Memorials may be made to Riverview Baptist Church, 2230 Riverview Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
