Jennie "Colene" Lanier

Jennie “Colene” Lanier, age 84, of 319 Springs East Road in Lincolnton, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Rhodes and Rev. Lawrence Ownby officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lanier was born August 19, 1938, in Lincoln County, to the late Julius Franklin Shuford and Lillie Estelle Russ Shuford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, William Shuford, Margaret Davis, Betty Heafner, Paul Shuford, Carl Shuford, Elsie Green, Ralph Shuford, Lee Shuford, and Nellie Shuford. She worked in textiles. She was the love of her husband’s life, a loving mother and devoted sister.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Weightsel Lanier of the home; daughter, Darlene Lanier Edge (Ronnie) of Iron Station; brother, Tom Shuford of Mt. Holly; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Lauren Shuford who was a niece
very special to “Colene.”
