John Paul Grant, age 57, of Cherry Grove Drive in Hickory, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022.
John was born July 24, 1965, in Lincoln County, to Raymond Lewis Grant and the late Edna Peeler Grant. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Wayne Grant. He worked as a mechanical engineer for Timken.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Harrison Grant of the home; two sons, Tyler Harrison Cannon (Melissa) of Hendersonville, TN, and Connor Paul Grant of Hickory; father, Raymond Lewis Grant of Lincolnton; brother, Raymond Grant, Jr. of Caser; sister, Lorie Ann Grant (Chris Gilleland) of Catawba; many nephews and one niece; cousin, Jamie Goins; aunt, Frankie Goins; best friends, Bruce Jenkins and Bobby Carswell, both of Lincolnton; his K9 companion, Beagle Blue; and two uncles, Johnny Grant and Randy Grant.
The family is planning a private memorial service.
