Eleanor Whitener Ramseur

Eleanor Whitener Ramseur, age 85, of Lincolnton, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022.
Her funeral service will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Marvin United Methodist Church with Rev. Amy Vaughn and Rev. Kelly Whitener officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm in the fellowship hall at Marvin United Methodist Church.
Eleanor was born September 3, 1937 in Lincoln County to the late Jacob Shuford and Eva Goforth Whitener. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Lex Ramseur and brothers, Buddy and Tony Whitener. Eleanor was a homemaker and loved gardening and entertaining and having people over for tea. She was loved by her family and friends and will be remembered for her laughter and love for her Lord.
Survivors include two daughters, Julianna Chapman and husband Neal of Lincolnton, Robin Garner and husband Rick of Lincolnton; five grandchildren, John Garner, Callie Hussey and husband Eric, Thomas Chapman, Alaina Chapman and husband Austin Perry, and Leah Chapman all of Lincolnton; two great-grandchildren, Xander Garner and Emmy Hussey; two brothers, Robert Whitener and Terry Whitener and wife Tamera all of Lincolnton; one sister, Virginia Yoder of Blythewood, SC; sisters-in-law, Ruth Whitener and Audrey Whitener; and numerous special nieces, nephews and cousins.
