Charles Edward Mullinax, II

Charles “Eddie” Mullinax, II, age 63 of High Shoals passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones on Friday, December 9, 2022.
Eddie was born in Gaston County to the late Charles and Flossie Mullinax. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy G. Mullinax. He is survived by one son, Dustin Lee Mullinax and wife Candice of Gastonia, NC; sisters, Lisa Mullinax Stamey of High Shoals, Debbie Evans and husband Junior of Hickory Grove, SC; his grandchildren, Remington Mullinax (Nuggett), Alana Mullinax (his Little Princess), Janeena Ramsey (Little Bug), Cantrelle Ramsey (Little Man); nieces/nephews, Robbie Evans and wife Donna, Christie Evans and John Broughton, Crystal Green all of SC, Misty Coleman Calo (his Doodle Bug), Alivia Shay Calo (Uncle Eddie’s little Florence Nightingale) of High Shoals, NC; great nephews, Timmy, Robert, Jerry, and Jesse; and many close friends and his best furry friend Boomer.
Eddie loved life and experienced wearing many hats, Dad, Pops, Paw-Paw, brother, Uncle Eddie. His favorite hat was outdoors. He started out as a Jr. Policeman in High Shoals, and then went on to be Police Chief. Then he forwarded his law enforcement career to Dallas, NC. He was a High Shoals fireman for thirty plus years, served in the US Army as a 13E10 Cannon Field Directional Specialist, served in the National Guard. He was a professional welder by trade. Eddie coached baseball with his son Dustin. It was the best years of his life. Anyone that knew him knew his favorite thing was spending time with family and friends. Cooking outside, wetting a hook (fishing), exploring the woods to get that big buck. With his big heart he was always lending a helpful hand where needed.
The family would like to send out a special thanks to all the family and friends that helped and cared for him.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Warlick Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the home, 101 Church Street, High Shoals, NC 28077.
