Shirley Proctor Morton

Shirley Proctor Morton, age 84, of Dallas, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022, in Hillcrest Gardens with Pastor Dusty Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Morton was born January 7, 1938, in Lincoln County, to the late Loyd D. Proctor and Alma Womack Proctor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tim E. Morton, Sr.; son, Kenneth Reid Morton; sister, Peggy Proctor Cloninger; nephew, Charles Everette Hoffman “Buddy”; niece, Kim Lanier; and her beloved pet and friend, Cowboy. She worked in textiles all of her life. In addition to being a caregiver for many, she was also a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by two sons, Jackie Dean Morton of Dallas, and Tim E. Morton, Jr., and wife Nicole; daughter-in-law, Jill Morton; five grandchildren, Christopher Morton, Stephen Morton, Chloe Browning, Camdyn Morton, and Cole Morton; great-grandchild, Connor Morton; and nieces and nephews, Lori Nethercutt family and Larry Hoffman family, and the family of Kim Lanier.
The family requests if flowers be sent that they be potted plants in hopes that they live on as they remember Mawmaw Shirley for years to come.
