Jerry Kenneth Bridges

Jerry Kenneth Bridges, age 80, of Poplar Street in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Rudisill officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Monday at Warlick Funeral Home prior to the service.
Jerry was born January 30, 1942, in Lincoln County to the late John Henry Bridges and Ida Prue Ledford Bridges. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Alfred Bridges and Max Bridges. He serviced in the United States Navy during the Cuban Conflict and later worked for Duke Energy as a “rod buster.”
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Greene Bridges of the home; son, Kenny Bridges of Lincolnton; daughter, Janeen Bridges Gallo of Myrtle Beach SC; five grandchildren, Kenda Gallo (Brittany Holdbrooks), Gunnar Gallo, Grason Gallo, Ivey Bridges, and Canon Bridges; four great-grandchildren, SuttonReese Gallo Holdbrooks, Raelynn Bridges, Kleighton Gallo, and Jackson Gallo; two brothers, Bill Bridges (Joann), and Ronnie Bridges; and special niece, Casey Nixon.
