Junior Edwin Helms
( October 21, 1945 - February 1, 2023 )
Junior Edwin Helms, age 77, of 701 E. McBee Street in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023,in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Harvey Gates officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Junior was born October 21, 1945, to the late Lee and Hazel Houck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike Howard; and a brother, Donald Houck. He worked at Cochrane and retired. In life, Junior was dearly loved. He had a wide circle of friends. He will always be remembered for helping who was in need. He was respectful and kind to everybody and always had a warm and pleasant smile towards people. His family and friends will forever miss him. Junior enjoyed fishing, rodeos, horses, crash derbys, fairs, apple festivals, and dances. He also enjoyed spending time with friends, Doug Tallent, Bill, Steve, Paul, and Donald. Junior never met a stranger.
He is survived by two sons, Edwin Workman and Matthew Sisk; daughter, Judy Gantt (Eric); brother, David Houck; sisters, Christine Craig (Toby), Patricia Hanna, and Thelma Mae.
A special thanks goes out to a dear friend and caregiver, such a fabulous woman, for all the years she stood by me and cared for me for 43 years, Linda Caballero.
