Donald Ray Crowder

Donald Ray Crowder, age 87, of Hoover-Elmore Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023, in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Jack Ray Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. on Monday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Crowder was born December 9, 1935, in Cleveland County, son of the late Lawrence Ray Crowder and Vangie Grigg Crowder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Sue Gilbert; two brothers, Bob Crowder and Jerry Crowder; and a sister, Kay Price. He worked as an inspector in the furniture industry.
He is survived by three sons, Gary Crowder (Sharon) of Vale, Jimmy Crowder of the home, and Stoney Crowder of Lincolnton; sister, Rachel Starnes of Connelly Springs; two grandchildren, Julie C. Upton and Erin Deal; and three great-grandchildren, Luke Upton, Millie Deal, and Beau Deal.
