Conley Gordon Schronce

C. Gordon Schronce, age 89, of Iron Station passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev.David Wyant will officiate. Burial will follow in the Iron Station Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home prior to the service.
Mr. Schronce was born July 18, 1933 in Lincoln County. He was the son of the late Conley Jacob Schronce and Eva McAllister Schronce. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Robinson Schronce. Gordon was a veteran of the US Navy. He was general manager at Abernethy Chevrolet in Lincolnton before becoming custodian supervisor with the Lincoln County School System . He was known for his gardening, especially his black peanuts. Gordon was a member of Iron Station United Methodist where he served in many areas over the years including serving as lay speaker.
He is survived by his son, Arty Schronce of Atlanta, GA; daughters, Jodie Schronce Graham (Chris) of Mt. Holly and Tori Schronce O’Neill (Jacob) of Franklin, NC; granddaughter, Kate Graham Heil (Luke) of Lexington, KY.
Memorials may be made to Iron Station United Methodist Church, % Susan Brymer, 5734 E. Highway 27, Iron Station NC 28080.
