Billie Joe Self, age 81, of Vale, NC, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023. Mr. Self was born April 07, 1941, in Halleyville, Alabama, a son of the late Millard Self and Florence Robertson Self.
Mr. Self is survived by his wife, Martha Engstrom Self of the home; sons, Gerald Lee Self of Florida, and Stephen Wayne Self of Vale; daughter, Theresa Marie Scronce of Vale; grandchildren, Billy Wayne Self of Vale, Stephanie Dawn Self (Justin) of Bessemer City, Stephen Tyler Self (Victoria) of Florida, and Chloe Allyson Scronce of Vale; great-grandchildren, Corenda Dawn Self of Vale, Rhyleigh Rayne Moodey of Bessemer City, Dason Michael Moodey of Bessemer City, and a great-grandson on the way; and sister, Delois Fay Moseley of Florida.
Services for Mr. Self will be private.
