Norman Gene Byrd

Norman Gene Byrd, age 82, of Low Bridge Road in Iron Station, died on Friday, March 3, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Walker and Rev. Alan Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Byrd was born May 29, 1940 in Lincoln County to the late Orie Eva Byrd. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Gene Byrd and Ralph James Byrd and one grandson, Patrick Byrd. Mr. Byrd owned Byrd’s Body Shop/Byrd’s Cleaning Service.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Dellinger Byrd of the home; three sons, Alan Byrd and wife Lenora of Iron Station, Jeff Byrd of Lincolnton and Kevin Byrd and wife Beth of Iron Station; seven grandchildren, Alicia, Brandon, Jessica, Nikki, Elliot, Katelyn and Heather; eleven great grandchildren.
