Danny Wayne McGinnis

Danny Wayne McGinnis, age 77, of Fairview Drive in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Marty Caudle, Pastor Richard Jenkins, and Rev. Larry Little officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.
Danny was born March 13, 1946, in Lincoln County, to the late Delmas and Kathleen Helderman McGinnis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy McGinnis, four brothers, and five sisters. He served in the United States Army and later worked as a sales specialist for Lowe’s.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Houser McGinnis of the home; son, Christopher Houser of Vale; daughters, Cheryl McGinnis of Indiana, and Angela Taylor of Hickory; brother, Jr. McGinnis of Matthews; sisters, Lou Noles of Crouse, and Sue McGinnis of Matthews; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
