Vickie McGee Wise

Vickie McGee Wise, age 79, of Leonard’s Fork Church Road in Crouse, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023, at River View Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Brookshire and Rev. Mike Young officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 5:45 p.m. on Monday at the church.
Vickie was born January 24, 1944, in Lincoln County, to the late George O. McGee and Lola Michael McGee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda McGee Ledford Auton. She worked for Carolina Freight Carriers and, after retiring, she worked in Guest Services for Atrium Health Lincolnton for 12 years.
She is survived by her husband, James “Sonny” Wise of the home; son, Chad Wise of Lincolnton; daughter, Kelly W. Palmer (Wes) of Knoxville, TN; brother, C.W. McGee (Bernice) of Lincolnton; granddaughter, Sydney Palmer; and grandson, Cole Palmer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River View Baptist Church, Building Fund, 2230 Riverview Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
