Linda Rae Polk Ward

Linda Rae Polk Ward, age 80, of Woodmont Circle in Lincolnton, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Revival Tabernacle in Stanley with Pastor John D. Mayberry officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 12:45 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
Linda was born December 21, 1942, in Gaston County, to the late Howard Jefferson Polk and Litha Mae Benfield Polk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Ward Sr. She worked as a caregiver.
She is survived by sons, Charles E. Ward, Jr. of Crouse, Mark Ward of Lincolnton, and Trevor Ward of Maiden; daughters, Diane Colon of Monroe, Donna Kaal of Crouse, and Audrey Ward of Maiden; brother, Dwight Lester Polk (Carolyn) of Lenoir; sisters, Peggy Sheets (Eugene) of Charlotte, Mary Glen Blackman of Stanley, and Patricia Ward of Iron Station; twenty-three grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Revival Tabernacle, 212 S. Highway 27, Stanley, NC 28164.
